This page explains how to request deletion of personal data that Seekadu has collected about you — including data collected from connected Meta platforms (Instagram and Facebook). Seekadu is a Meta Tech Provider that operates AI auto-reply on the business's behalf; we honor deletion requests from end-users, from connected businesses, and from Meta itself.


1. Self-service deletion via Meta

If you no longer want a business to be able to receive your messages through Seekadu, the fastest path is to revoke Seekadu's access through Meta's own settings:

  • Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → revoke Seekadu
  • Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → Logged in with Facebook → revoke Seekadu

When you revoke access this way, Meta sends Seekadu a Data Deletion Request automatically. Seekadu deletes the associated tokens and message data within a reasonable period (typically 30 days).


2. Email request — fastest path for full account deletion

To request deletion of any other personal data Seekadu holds about you, email team@seekadu.com with subject line Data Deletion Request. Include in the body:

  • The Meta page or Instagram account that connected to Seekadu (if applicable)
  • The email address or phone number associated with the data
  • Whether you want only Meta-connected data removed, or all personal data Seekadu holds about you

We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17. We may require identity verification before fulfilling a request.


3. Business-account deletion (for business owners)

If you operate a Seekadu business account and want to delete the account along with all collected end-user data:

  1. Log in to the Business Portal
  2. Settings → Account → Delete Account
  3. Confirm via the email link we send to your account address

This deletes:

  • Your business configuration, knowledge files, and AI training data
  • All Meta-platform tokens (Instagram + Facebook) and message history Seekadu collected on your behalf
  • All lead-generation records and CRM contacts captured by your AI agent
  • All conversation logs across every connected channel

You can also email team@seekadu.com with subject Business Account Deletion if you cannot access the portal.


4. What gets deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, Seekadu removes:

  • Meta-platform data: page and Instagram Business account identifiers, access tokens, inbound message content, sender identifiers, and timestamps
  • End-user contact data: name, email, phone number, hashed device identifier, IP address, approximate location
  • Conversation history across all connected channels (Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger, the embeddable website chat widget, and chats initiated via a business's QR code)
  • Lead-generation records including any contact details forwarded to a connected business
  • Account data (for full-account deletion only) including business configuration, knowledge files, and AI training data

We do not delete anonymized and aggregated analytics derived from past use, since those records contain no personal identifiers.


5. Data we may retain after deletion

By law and for legitimate business interests, we may retain:

  • Billing and tax records for the period required by Bulgarian tax law (typically 10 years for invoices) — even after the rest of your data is deleted
  • Records of the deletion request itself (timestamp, what was deleted, who requested) for audit purposes, retained for 12 months
  • Anonymized AI quality metrics that contain no personal identifiers

6. Meta Data Deletion Requests

In line with Meta Platform Terms, Seekadu honors Data Deletion Requests sent by Meta on behalf of users who request their data be removed from connected apps. When Meta notifies us of such a request, we delete the associated tokens, conversation history, and identifiers within the timeframe Meta specifies (typically 30 days).

The deletion callback endpoint Seekadu has registered with Meta processes these requests automatically. End-users do not need to take any additional action beyond initiating the deletion through Meta's own settings (see §1 above).


7. Confirmation and timeline

  • Confirmation of receipt: within 2 business days
  • Completion: within 30 days for most requests; up to 90 days in complex cases (we will notify you)
  • Confirmation of completion: an email summarizing what was deleted
